Tibor Hajas (1946–1980) was a self-taught visual and performance artist. He originally wanted to be a poet, publishing his first poems in 1967. He took an interest in visual art in 1969, and started doing performances in 1978. In his lifetime, his works were only exhibited in Budapest University of Technology’s Bercsényi Club and the Fiatal Művészek Klubja (“FMK,” Young Artists’ Club).
The fonds contains articles, newspapers and photographic material related to the retrospective exhibition held in the Ludwig Museum Budapest in 2005, as well as film plans and audio and visual material. Also contained therein are letters, photos, prints and posters related to Hajas.
