  • Description
    Éva Körner (1929–2004) was an art historian, museologist, editor, teacher – and a former research associate of the Institute of Art History. One of the most significant researchers of modern Hungarian fine art in the 20th century; the author of the Gyula Derkovits monograph; a prominent researcher of Lajos Kassák and Hungarian (neo)avant-garde. A pupil of Lajos Fülep. As an associate of Corvina Publishing House, she edited and prepared for printing the monographs of Russian avant-garde artists. From the 1980s on, she also spent a great deal of time researching the artists of the Hungarian neo-avant-garde generation, as well as conceptual art.
    The fonds contains the manuscripts, photos, notes and cards of the books and studies published by Éva Körner, as well as the documentation of her publications.
