Description
Ferenc Storno Sr. (1821–1907) was a painter, architect and restorer. Studied in Munich and Vienna. Restored numerous medieval churches (Sopron/Ödenburg, Lőcse/Levoča, Pannonhalma, Garamszentbenedek/Hronský Beňadik etc.).
The fonds contains 27 of the sketchbooks kept in the Sopron Museum’s Storno Collection, photos of the drawings in the sketchbook that dates to between 1838–1863, as well as cards that describe these. The photos and associated cards are arranged in order of the identification numbers in the sketchbooks.
