The fonds is related to the planned volume 4 and workgroup 5 of the series of comprehensive handbooks on the history of art in Hungary, created by the Research Group for (later: Research Institute of) Art History at HAS. Volume 4 was supposed to present Baroque Art in the 17th-18th centuries, but in the end, it was never published. Aside from the finished manuscripts, the majority of the material is about meetings held between 1971–1982, scheduling, the issues raised in connection with the synopsis, as well as about progress, corrections and structural and typographical issues – all mainly in the form of reports, reminders and correspondence.
